Information
This 22/23 Season the Basque National Orchestra faces a major international artistic challenge, as it will be going on an important international tour in Poland under the direction of Robert Trevino. The trip is particularly relevant because, despite many attempts to schedule one, the orchestra has been unable to go on an international tour since in March 2020 it offered a concert at the Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall in Istanbul, days before lockdown was announced due to the covid-19 pandemic.
At these concerts which will take place in late March 2023, the orchestra will perform the famous Bolero by Maurice Ravel, whose music has recently become the Basque National Orchestra's presentation letter par excellence, and Symphony No. 5 by Gustav Mahler, chief conductor Trevino’s favourite composer.
