Our headquarters

Many of the orchestra projects take place in the Euskalduna Concert Hall in Bilbao, the Kursaal in San Sebastian, the Jesus Guridi in Vitoria-Gasteiz and the Baluarte in Pamplona, and we feel at home in them all. These projects, and all of those we develop, are born and prepared in Miramón.

Having its own headquarters has been one of the keys for development of the orchestra. The auditorium we rehearse in, with seating for almost four hundred people, is the star of a headquarters which also has individual and group dressing rooms, several rehearsal rooms, storage areas, a loading bay, an archive, a library, a recording theatre and a floor for offices and meeting rooms. As well as the orchestra rehearsals it is the setting for the Miramón Matinées, some of the Music Room activities or concerts promoted by different institutions. But what makes these headquarters truly special hangs on the walls of its auditorium: four enormous canvases painted in situ in 1989 by the Basque artist Rafael Ruiz Balerdi make this room a unique space.
