In his search for exceptional yet less trodden repertoires, here Robert Trevino turns the spotlight to the harp, an instrument that has been an essential part of the orchestral fabric since the 19th century, yet its soloist facet is not as well known. For this purpose Trevino has invited Xavier de Maistre, the instrument’s absolute point of reference in recent decades. The musician will demonstrate all of its possibilities in Ginastera's Harp Concerto, that reveals its unexpected rhythmic potential and richness of timbres. The programme is rounded out with Symphony No.10 from Dmitri Shostakovich, which Herbert von Karajan considered to be the most perfect among the fifteen that comprise his symphonic cycle.
