The incidental music that Felix Mendelssohn dreamt up to bring William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream to life. This famous overture sprang from his youthful pen, and just sixteen years later, the German composer completed the score for this comedy which sees dreams and reality intertwine in exaltation of love, and which contains melodies as universal as the Wedding March.
François López-Ferrer, a student of Gustavo Dudamel and the winner of the Solti Prize 2024, will lead a purely Basque vocal ensemble: the singers Elena Sancho Pereg and Marifé Nogales, and Vocalia Taldea.
