Tribute to Ángel Illarramendi

Tribute concert to the composer Ángel Illarramendi, organised by the Town Council of Zarautz, the place of his birth. The programme includes the symphonic poem Zarautz, a work commissioned by the Town Council from the composer from Zarautz, and the absolute premiere of two orchestral pieces: the Concerto for clarinet, piano, viola and orchestra and his Symphony no. 7.

Conducted by José Miguel Pérez-Sierra, the Basque National Orchestra will perform Illarramendi’s work with the Orfeón Donostiarra choir, directed by José Antonio Sainz Alfaro, and Zarautz Abesbatza choir, directed by Jaione Escudero. As soloists, Orchestra members Delphine Dupuy (viola) and Juan Navarro (clarinet), the pianist Josu Okiñena and the contralto Nora Goyalde.
