Auhen Sinfonikoa

This album remains in time as the testimony of the first fusion between the Basque music of a singer-songwriter and a symphony orchestra. Auhen sinfonikoa (“symphonic lament" in Basque) includes Benito Lertxundi’s most popular songs, arranged for orchestra by the conductor Enrique Ugarte. Songs like Bizkaia maite and Baldorba, present in this album, are today part of the Basque musical heritage.
