The Basque National Orchestra starts the selection procedure for one concertmaster and two viola tutti positions
Registration is open to apply for both selection procedures, which will be held in February and March 2022.
The Basque National Orchestra has started the selection procedures for one concertmaster and two viola tutti positions. In both procedures the orchestra offers a permanent contract with a six-month trial period.
On the one hand, the concertmaster position is highly relevant in a symphony orchestra as it is the soloist position in the first violin section. As a result, according to the terms and conditions, for this position, ‘in addition to excellent skills as a violinist, qualities and predisposition for positive leadership will be required, through cooperation with the orchestra, the Conductor and the entire management team’. The selection process is open and applications must be made before 10 December. The selection process will take place on 28 February and 1 March 2022.
On the other hand, the Basque National Orchestra has also launched another selection process for two tutti violas. In this case the application must be made before 27 January 2022 for a selection process that will take place on 14 and 15 February.
