The height of the sounds, their duration, the intensity with which we produce them and the particular timbre or colour which enables us to distinguish people’s voices... all of these elements allow us to create melodies, rhythms... to create - music! But we’re missing an essential element: fantasy, the imagination that allows us to fly and create. Because, where does music come from if not from inside us? From Bach to Britten, visiting the classics and the modern on the way and introducing children's songs, this programme is presented as a series of short works, in some cases for piano four-hands, in others for cello and piano, and sometimes even with singing!
