Screening of the film The New Babylon (1929) by D. Kozintzev with a live performance of the music composed for it by Shostakovich on commission by the Basque National Orchestra, conducted by Mélanie Lévy-Thibaut.

The New Babylon is one of the best exponents of Soviet propaganda when commemorating the centenary of the 1917 Russian Revolution.
