Schedule change: The new concert schedule has been modified. Soloists Amanda Forsyth and Pinchas Zukerman have been kept as the main characters for this event, which will see Zukerman himself go all the way to take charge as director of music.
Two good friends of the Basque National Orchestra are back in our stages, two big international stars, in fact: violinist and director Pinchas Zukerman and cellist Amanda Forsyth. After kicking off the concerts with Mozart´s Magical Flute, the two pieces to take the centre stage will be Mozart´s nº5 Concerto for violin, a more advanced and less conventional iteration compared to his previous four concerto, and Beethoven´s 2nd Symphony, optimist, joyful and the least played amongst his symphonies. Another piece will complement those concerts: in San Sebastián and Bilbao, Amanda Forsyth will interpret the gorgeous and popular Kol Nidrei by Max Bruch; in Vitoria and Pamplona, Zukerman will introduce the Sephardic lullaby of Berceuse sfaradite by Paul Ben-Haim to Euskadi for the first time.
