Our chief conductor, the maestro Robert Treviño, will take his place before the Basque National Orchestra to offer Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate students his vision of a controversial symphony, Shostakovich’s Fifth. The composer defined this work as his “creative response” to the ferocious criticism received by his previous creations and refusal to obey the aesthetic rules of the so-called “socialist realism”.
With the collaboration of the General Assemblies of Gipuzkoa, the San Sebastian City Council Department of Education and Kursaal Eszena.
In co-production with Kursaal Eszena.
