Music Room 2025/26

Music Room

Information

The Music Room’s 25/26 Season brings us two productions that have already successfully premiered: Musika tantak, which promotes and extols diversity, and the vast children's cantata Logelan logale. It also brings us two new proposals which, like the orchestra's Symphonic Season, appeal to the memory of Ravel, on the 150th anniversary of his birth, and Arriaga, on the 200th anniversary of his death.

In this new series, we propose immersing ourselves in the universe of Ravel with the production Nire ama antzara. Based on the tales of Charles Perrault and the magic of shadow theatre, a woodwind quintet will perform Ma mère l'oye. Then the concerto Arriaga bizi da will introduce us to the singular and little-known figure of the Bilbao-born Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga, a young composer who died before the age of twenty but who was very prolific during his short life.

Diversity, inclusion, fun, choral singing, emotion and innovation are just some of our proposals for young audiences, which align with the goals of ARTIS+, art for social inclusion. The Basque National Orchestra is sensitive to these values and will continue to embody them to make each event an unforgettable experience.
