Information

If the string soloists starred in the previous programme, it will now feature the piano played by Denis Kozhukhin, winner of the Queen Elizabeth Competition in 2010 and a close associate of Robert Treviño. Together they will perform Johannes Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 1, which was originally intended to be a symphony, thus lending it a very special character and making it one of the most beloved concerto works in German Romanticism. In the second part of the concerts, the orchestra will perform Antonin Dvorak's Symphony No.6, written by the Bohemian when he was about to turn forty, a work that he dedicated to the conductor Hans Richter.
